Wendy Williams: A Machine for Wigs (BETA)
(the web player sorta works, but it's buggy. Occasional freezing and camera drifting is present unless playing full-screen.)
Late one night on a drunken stupor, you decide to break into the Wendy Williams sound stage and steal her wigs. Little did you know that Wendy has been expecting you.
I made this project goofing off with friends as an opportunity to learn Godot. I haven't done proper game design since high school using Unreal Engine, and I wanna get back into it. There's some ideas floating around in my noggin that just won't leave until I at least try to bring it to life somehow. This game therefore is the first stepping stone towards that goal. I chose to make a slender clone as my first Godot project because I knew it would be fast and easy to make.
I won't be adding a whole lot else to this game, but in order to practice my beta iteration skills, I will be releasing periodic updates to fix issues and add things suggested by players like you!
New in Beta 3 Update (08/12/23):
- Increased visibility range on the flashlight
- Rooms have different flooring
- Added 2 secret bits of functionality by player request
- Flashlight flickers and makes noise when Wendy is close
Current To-Do for Beta 4:
- Have all other sounds stop when player dies
- Accelerated back-hopping for speed-runners
Citation of CC assets used, including Models and Sound Effects:
A special thank you to SadFactoryInc for creating the Secret Jumpscare illustration and to DarthMPG for providing your blood curdling scream for the Secret Jumpscare.

Everything is packed into the one .exe file. Click and play!
I haven't taken the time yet to use signtool on the exports. If this is a concern, you can also play directly in browser, so long as your machine supports SharedArrayBuffer.
